His discussions with Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tarek Mitri focused on the growing tensions in Lebanon, while his dialogue with Mali’s Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop revolved around enhancing bilateral relations and regional stability in the African Sahel.
During the conversation with Dr. Tarek Mitri, Al Khulaifi underscored the importance of Qatar-Lebanon relations and expressed deep concern over the ongoing Israeli incursions into Lebanese territory. He criticized these actions as a serious breach of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a violation of international norms, emphasizing the potential risks they pose to regional peace and stability. Al Khulaifi called for an immediate cessation of hostilities, urging adherence to the existing ceasefire and full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. He also appealed to the international community to take decisive measures to halt these violations and safeguard Lebanon’s territorial integrity.
