Qatar and Thailand are poised to enhance their bilateral trade and investment ties following a meeting between business leaders from both nations in Bangkok. The discussions involved Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohammed bin Twar Al Kuwari and senior members of Thailand’s Board of Trade, including Songsang Patavanich and Jarudol Tulayakijja. The focus was on exploring avenues to boost trade partnerships and investment initiatives that could benefit both countries economically.

During the meeting, Al Kuwari emphasized the robust economic relationship between Qatar and Thailand, highlighting that bilateral trade reached around QR12.4 billion in 2025. He stressed the significant role that private-sector collaboration plays in fostering growth through strategic partnerships and investment opportunities in various promising sectors. Al Kuwari also noted the importance of business organizations in promoting these partnerships and facilitating business engagements between the two nations.

Thai officials, for their part, expressed their commitment to further strengthening economic ties with Qatar.
