ESET Unveils eCrime Reports, Empowering Security Teams Against Cybercriminals

by admin477351

ESET has unveiled its latest addition to the ESET Threat Intelligence portfolio, the eCrime Reports, which aims to provide businesses with crucial insights into the growing complexity of ransomware and infostealer threats. This new strategic offering delivers comprehensive data on cyber incidents, giving companies visibility into attack chains and affiliate-level activities, as well as region-specific telemetry. Roman Kováč, Chief Research Officer at ESET, emphasized the importance of these reports in helping law enforcement, IT, and security teams not just understand threats, but also anticipate and defend against them more effectively. By focusing on ransomware and infostealers, eCrime Reports are designed to bolster organizations’ cybersecurity strategies, particularly in high-risk environments.

The eCrime Reports come in two tiers: ESET Threat Intelligence eCrime Reports and ESET Threat Intelligence eCrime Reports Advanced. These curated reports leverage proprietary data and telemetry, offering unique insights from real-world cyber intrusions globally. By analyzing tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), the reports reveal hidden activity clusters that enhance strategic decision-making related to eCrime. Beyond merely tracking Malware-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) Dedicated Leak Sites (DLS), these reports can be augmented with ESET’s proprietary intelligence feeds, including Android Infostealer, Malicious Email Attachments, and more.

Quality in threat intelligence data is crucial, according to Kováč. ESET Threat Intelligence customers benefit from reduced maintenance and manpower requirements by avoiding the information overload often associated with competitor offerings. Instead of sifting through large, uncurated datasets, ESET’s services enable organizations to quickly pinpoint and prioritize emerging business risks and threats, thereby accelerating incident response and fostering a proactive cybersecurity approach.

The content of the reports includes an Activity Summary, a Technical Analysis, a Monthly Digest, and an eCrime Feed. The Activity Summary offers strategic insights into recent ransomware and infostealer campaigns, while the Technical Analysis provides a detailed exploration of threat actors and attack chains. The Monthly Digest gives an executive-ready overview of current trends and major incidents, assisting leadership in setting priorities. The Advanced tier further includes the ESET AI Advisor, which helps security analysts swiftly interpret and respond to threats, and access to a MISP Server for enhanced threat intelligence integration.

ESET’s eCrime Reports are part of a broader Threat Intelligence portfolio, which includes Premium APT Reports that analyze global Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) from entities such as Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, along with geopolitical context. The launch coincides with the upcoming RSAC 2026, where attendees can visit ESET’s booth for demonstrations and expert insights.
